Dental root canal treatment

Root canal treatment (endodontic treatment) is a procedure executed in cases of  tooth nerve inflammation or infection in the tooth root canal. Its purpose is to preserve the tooth or the root. This procedure is often performed due to tooth pain caused by deep caries.

The treatment of dental root canals is performed while greatly enlarging the image with a CARL ZEIS microscope. This ensures the quality of the canal formation and filling.

The microscope is used at the KOA Dental Clinic in Vilnius to perform complex dental root canal procedures – the closure of perforations, the removal of broken instruments and re-treatment of canals (endodontic re-treatment).
